Herbie and Feather

In 1996 Cinnamon had a litter of 5, 2 Boys and 3 Girls, By that time I had moved to Sandusky, Ohio. I kept 1 male and 1 female. Herbie was named for his huge head, "Herbie Da Head" and Feather a mini named "Lite As A Feather" I was rounding up the puppy's one day and when I came to her I remarked she was lite as a feather and thus the name stuck.

Beaux Arts Alf  my 1st Shar Pei Alf was a Fawn Horse Coat and was named "The Dog from Hell" by the residents in the Marina we lived in on our boat. He earned it He was always into something.

Also in that time period I co-owned several other dogs with Barbara Dion, Beaux-Art.com  then in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, now located in Hudson, NC I am proud to say that Beaux Art has been named in the top 10 Breeders of Shar-Peis in the USA  2 years in a row, 2021 and 2022. Congratulations Barb. I'll be posting the award certificate soon.

Mo Ti Chops of Beaux Art, Co- owned with Barbara Dion in 1993. Show credits go to Barb, Beaux-Art Kennels currently in Hudson, NC Beaux-Art.com

My second and third Shar-Pei's were Chops featured above and a red sable puppy from Chops we named Cinnamon Magoo. A procedure error during her eye tac's resulted in her never seeing a day in her life. All her other senses kicked in and if you didn't know she was blind, you couldn't tell. Magoo was the most amazing dog to watch. The Perkins police dept. in Ohio wanted to buy her for a drug dog. Actually they were buying her Nose the rest of her went along. They sent me a bid a week for her up to $3800.00. I figure if her nose alone is worth $3800.00 she must be a $50,000.00 dog, but NO SALE. Sorry. I will have a page of Alf and Cinnamon quips and stories, especially on Alf "The Dog From Hell" aptly named by the people in the Marina we lived in aboard our 36' Chris Craft

Yes, as you can guess Chops was a show  off and Alf was the Bad Boy, "The Dog From Hell" There are so many great stories about this dog.

These two were best friends and ran loose in our fenced lot at a Storage facility in Ft. Lauderdale. Gates closed, that's all folks. Nobody unless I know ya and you have a key. Until I came back. These two would run up to greet me and if I wasn't in the gate when they got there the fight was on, Chops wasn't a fighter. He was a show off. Got his ass kicked every time but then they'd run off as friends again. They just wanted to be first with me, and that's the Shar-Pei way. Truly amazing dogs. If you ever have one, you'll appreciate their dedication to their master.

About Us

In 1996 Cinnamon had a litter of 5, 2 Boys and 3 Girls, By that time I had moved to Sandusky, Ohio. I kept 1 male and 1 female. Herbie was named for his huge head, "Herbie Da Head" He was born with this huge head and his little puppy body sort of caught up with the head, and Feather a mini named "Lite As A Feather" I was rounding up the puppy's one day and when I came to her I remarked she was lite as a feather and thus the name stuck.

Being Brother/sister I never let her breed and we we were traveling in those days so unfortunately Feather never had any puppy's
